“it had reached 1 billion monthly active users…”
Instagram is the fastest growing social network in 2019, continuing its phenomenal expansion in 2017 and 2018. Its older sibling, Facebook, may still have the largest user base, but Instagram is rapidly catching up. One notable difference is that Instagram is beloved by the young audiences form ages 21-35, whereas that demographic are now leaving Facebook because they perceive it as now being for their parents and business advertising.
In mid-2018 Instagram announced that it had reached 1 billion monthly active users, and is now well on its way to the second billion. These users post 95 million photos and videos per day, along with uploading 400 million Instagram Stories a day. Instagram users “like” an incredible 4.2 billion posts every day.
Consistency is key…
That being said, shouldn’t your brand be more consistent and targeted towards the organic audience you want to attract?
You have members or followers that you inspire and motivate on a daily basis. In order to convert those viewers into loyal and dedicated organic followers, your brand needs to be engaging with them with content pertinent to what you stand for. Consistency is key in this vast and influential market where you can fall through the cracks and be just like everyone else.
Engaging with your followers through your workout programs, nutritional guides, resting or sleeping habits and/or even just simply doing Q & A’s on your LIVE posts or IGTV, you need content that engages cohesively work together while conveying your message.
First, think about what is your goal during this shoot. If you are want to build a fitness portfolio and want images for your training and nutritional business or online marketing and websites, then you need content which represents this philosophy. If getting exposure and getting published in magazines is your goal then your content has to represent this as well. With this in mind, focus on picking up those magazine and/or brochures and see how others market themselves. If it’s a workout regimen you seek, then see how magazines showcase specific workouts and then imitate their proven practices.
If you are a nutritional and health awareness brand, then pick up a women’s health, Oxygen, Eating Well or a cock book and see what images these companies use to market their content to their audience.

Influencer Marketing in 2020 Predicted to Grow to More than Double 2017 Figures
Influencer advertising has kept on developing as an industry in the course of the most recent couple of years. It was a $1.7 billion industry in 2016, expanding to $3 billion in 2017. A continued growth to $4.6 billion in 2018 and is expected to grow in upwards of $6.5 billion for 2019.
Contrary to popular belief, not everyone wants to see you on the beach in a bikini or deadlifting 225lbs at the gym all the time. And who wants to see selfies all the time? Your viewers want variations and your brand and lifestyle is not just beach and gym pictures. Cohesive and strategically placed images and content is what will help you separate yourself and stand out from others in your industry.
“It’s the everyday images we don’t think about.”
In our busy day to day activities, water is essential to our survival. Imagine having an image like this of yourself and then you can write a nice blog spot to your readers about the importance water instead of a squat picture in the gym or another selfie by your bedroom window light…
Even if you’re not a fitness model or participate in competitions, you still need content that represents you and your fitness goals. Your audience has become your loyal followers because they believe in your message and what you stand for. In this fast paced world, you don’t want to stop every second to take a photo or make sure your outfit is correct or if your hair and makeup looks good. When you have a variety of images you can use year-round, or on a monthly basis, you will save time and energy when needing to post that perfect image anytime; anywhere.
It may seem weird at first taking pictures holding your phone or in the kitchen drinking a smoothy. It’s ok, we all want to take those images that make us look sexy or super fit and happy. But think about the message you want to convey to your clients and/or followers with an image that represents what you are trying to deliver in your message or post.
Think about talking to your followers about the importance of drinking plenty of water everyday or making a healthy smoothie when you’re late for work and don’t have time to make breakfast. Don’t you think a relative picture of you either drinking water or in the kitchen drinking a smoothie make more sense than just another gym picture showing off your abs?
Am I making sense yet? Is it sinking in yet?
